Finding your Google Analytics Profile ID

Last Updated: Jun 14, 2013 01:50PM CDT

In order to view your site’s traffic on the Dashboard, you’ll need to enter your Google Analytics info in the analytics module of the Content Management System (CMS).

There are two analytics sections. The first pertains to adding the tracking code Property ID number given by Google in order to capture traffic. You can enter your Property ID number and the Google traffic tracking code will be automatically added to your site. You’ll start collecting traffic within a few hours and will be able to view your full stats within your Google Analytics account.

If you’d like to view a traffic synopsis on your CMS Dashboard, you’ll need to fill out the second section of the analytics module. Your Analytics Profile ID is different than your Property ID and is necessary for accessing and displaying your traffic stats on the Dashboard. To find your Profile ID, login to your Analytics account (google.com/analytics), click the Admin tab and follow this path:

Admin > Profiles > Profile Settings > Profile ID

Your Analytics Profile ID is listed within your Profile Settings along with other general information about your account. You’ll need to copy and paste the Profile ID number into the Google Analytics Profile ID field within the CMS. You’ll also need to enter the email address and password that you use to access your Google Analytics account.

Once this info is added into the CMS, your stats will be viewable on your CMS Dashboard.
