Advanced Features in the Posts (Blog) Module

**Please note: a few of these features apply primarily to our responsive designs. Please keep this in mind as you read through the article. All Posts

To get to the Posts module in the Content Management System (CMS), click on the Publish tab and then go to "Posts" on the left hand side. This section will list all of your posts by date. From here you can edit a post, delete a post, as well as save a post as a draft (or publish a post that was previously saved as a draft). You can also "Feature" a post which will update the way it is displayed on your live site.

All Blogs

From this section you can change the name of your blog, or you can add new blogs. For example you may have a blog titled News & Announcements and one titled Pastor's Blog. Only one blog can be the "primary", which means it will show up on the homepage of your site (if your design features recent blog posts).
 

Comments

The Comments section allows you to monitor and edit comments made by readers of your blog. From this tab, you can approve, edit, delete or mark a comment as spam. 
 

Categories

The Categories section is a tool that makes it much easier for people to differentiate between multiple different types of posts. To get here, click Publish > Posts > Categories in your CMS. You'll see a button in the top right corner that says Add a Blog Category. Once you've added a few new categories (for example Expository, Topical or Marriage & Family), you can then go through your posts and add topics to each post. This section will also display how many posts you have under each category, as well as allow you to rename or delete a category you no longer need.
